Finally returned to my home, finally to my country. Still abandoned of old hopes and dreams. Bereft of much of former property and past life. A future left open and much empty again. To explore what this new future holds and build a life again a new challenge i am forced to accept. What comforts I once strove to see and longed to remerge into left to lay in the sands along with the boy once thought to be.
My oath is to serve this Republic, democratically modeled. I take offense as to all those who do not but use the rights founded by this nation, the freedoms it allows to dishonor the service and blood of all who have given their lives for this Nation. I have held my brother as he lay dying far from home for those rights. I despise and detest those who mock and use those freedoms to belittle this Nation. I have earned my place as a man, giving of my live and my blood in defense of my Country. A decision made by my own free will. A choice not easy or lightly taken. I fight those who would see everything this Nation has accomplished, built, and given wiped away for the very reason and path you claim I scrabble to.

i must be honest, i am not deserving of thanks. all i have done is honor a comitment i had made and live on day at a time. there are many of my brothers-in-arms much more deserving than i. thank you, it is the little things that quite offen mean the most to us.
